Under the favorable conditions of the seabed off the southwestern Alentejo coast, this wine was aged for 12 months at a depth of approximately 15 to 17 meters. With faster maturation, the wine becomes more complex, harmonious, and mature, with the smoothness of the tannins standing out.
This wine is produced at Monte da Carochinha, a property located near Sonega between the municipalities of Cercal and Sines. With a high view of the Porto Covo sea, it benefits from a strong Atlantic influence combined with a mountain microclimate, where steep slopes in poor schist soils, surrounded by forest and rockrose, clearly define its profile.
