This Ilustre is a white wine made from the Diagalves grape (suitable for both wine and table grapes) and is a beautiful aromatic jumble, resulting from a blend made with a mix of classic talha and aging in Sherry casks. Tiago is friends with Sevillian winemaker Raul Moreno Yague, and the two have been having fun with these things. The result is a wine with an oxidative profile, an exotic character, and floral and bitter notes. It's one of those wines you can have a table of friends discussing for hours, with bets on its origins that not even a Master of Wine could guess.
